Our “homegrown” Dalhousie son, Lucien — Marshall Button, the opinionated North Shore mill-worker and New Brunswick’s blue collar philosopher — showed up after dinner with his lunch pail and blue plaid work shirt! Marshall entertained the Saint Andrew’s Day gathering with keen political insight and comedy, economic north shore woes and satire, and many’a Scottish penny-pinching tales. Smiles, lots of hearty laughter and a tear or two were shed as Lucien talked to “da young feller”. We are proud of Marshall and grateful that he came home to help out the Caledonian Society!
